Citrine Honey is a previously undiscovered gem of luxurious raw honey in its purest form brought to you by miFLAVOUR, the modern French bakery. Max and Ella Piskun are the owners of miFLAVOUR and are constantly looking to expand what they offer to their customers. They are always searching for the highest quality ingredients for their incredible products. While they search first and foremost locally, on occasion when they cannot find a high enough quality product in Spokane or the surrounding areas they will outsource to the next closest place until the ingredients can be found locally. It is very important to Max and Ella to be pouring into the local market while maintaining their high standards of offerings. In this never-ending hunt for ingredients and new products, Max and Ella stumbled across a marvelous little treasure. A family of passionate beekeepers who had been producing exquisite honey for over 20 years but had never sold outside their family, gave the Piskuns a chance to try their honey. The Piskuns knew they had to take the opportunity to offer this amazing gem to the world. With that in mind, they offered to purchase all the honey, the equipment, and pay the family to continue producing the honey they had perfected. The family was thrilled with the idea and thus, Citrine Honey was born. The name Citrine Honey comes from when Max and Ella were talking about how they had uncovered this “gem in their own town.” A gem in the rough that they could polish and offer to the world. They began the hunt for the perfect symbol to represent their new honey line. Because of it’s golden hues, high quality, and rarity in it’s natural form, the gem Citrine seemed like the ideal fit for their new brand. A stunning gem to represent a spectacular honey. The honey itself is raw honey that had been spun and strained to get rid of any bees wax but is otherwise untouched. Unlike so many honeys that are either watered down or chunky, Citrine Honey is smooth, not overly sweet, and drizzles perfectly over or in anything you could think to pair it with. As with all honeys, it will eventually crystallize due to the natural makeup of pure honey, assuming the jar hasn’t been consumed already. The secret is to simply put the jar in hot water for a time and it will be back to it’s glorious drizzling perfection. There will come a day when Citrine Honey will include a few more flavored honeys but those will be new treasures to be discovered.
